A new, shiny thesis blog has been created

As you may notice: this blog is a little old. The last post was in March 2011. A friend commented last week that it also has a strange location: it's for my thesis but is put in a folder called visualization. I obviously didn't really think that one through.

This is why I decided to create a new blog, one that is specifically dedicated to the thesis. You soon will find updates about the thesis progress on www.marijerooze.nl/thesis.

a new thesis blog

Note: this blog received a lot of comments: WordPress tells me I still have 2,167 comments pending for approval. It sounds amazing. However, if you look through the list you see comments like this:

'I really like your blog, I shared it with my friends and family. By the way, do you know about product X? It's the best way to improve your SEO/abs/sex life/etc.'

Or, my personal favorite:

'Have a happy and prosperous New Year. May the blessings of the Lord enrich your family and friends, not only in wealth but in health, love and happiness.'

When I was reading this one I thought, 'that is so sweet!' Then I looked at the name of the sender and my spirits went immediately down. It said 'Webcam girl' with a corresponding xxx URL. Right. It was official: the blog is a serious spam attractor. I installed a Captcha code to disable the spammers and haven't received a single comment yet. That's okay: I am aware of the 90/9/1 principle.

Either way, I hope you will enjoy the new blog!
